Last night I checked stockspotter and was informed to exit any short position I might have in KLAC (KLA-Tencor). This trade was listed for 7 days and earned .39%. KLA-Tencor is a company that manufactures and markets metrology systems for semiconductors. Semiconductors are electronic devices that have replaced vacuum tubes and are used for a wide variety of applications.
The news of this exit signal comes at a good time considering that, fundamentally, KLAC may be headed for better times. In fact, just today the company approved a deal with Advanced Mask Technology Center (AMTC) in Dresden, Germany. AMTC intends to use KLAC’s products to support development of advanced reticle technology that will be used to pattern the most critical layers of the industry’s next-generation integrated circuits.
Additional Company Info: KLA-Tencor Corporation engages in the design, manufacture, and marketing of process control and yield management solutions for the semiconductor and related nanoelectronics industries.
